SATPRO V2 is a tracking system, composed of a rotating head, two arms where the antennas are placed and an anchoring system to a fixed base or tripod.

The XLRS SATPRO software allows you to view and trace the API commands, which makes it easier to quickly learn how they work, and allows the creation of applications or integration into more complex systems, controlling the SATPRO with its own application.

Then main function is to automatically follow the position of the vehicle, orienting the antennas to obtain the best possible RF link at all times in LOS (Line Of Sight) applications.

Customizable, you can install the long range XLRS system up to 250Km (LOS) or any telecommunications system you need, including jammers for drones for example.

Automatic tracking of the vehicle

The SATPRO V2 automatically points and orients the high gain directional antennas, which automatically follow the movement of the vehicle in real time, to get the best amount of signal and get the longest possible range from the system.

Calculates by combining the position and distance of the vehicle’s GPS and optionally the amount of RF signal received at the antennas.

SATPRO V2 is extremely versatile and can be used in different types of aircraft (Drones, UAVs, VTOL), land vehicles (Robots, Cars, UGV), Ships and other vehicles that require continuous tracking.

Rotation axis 360º

SATPRO V2 use a two-axis tracking mechanism to achieve precise rotation and tilt of the antennas. This mechanism is made up of motors, gears and encoders which are responsible for rotating and tilting the antenna according to the signals it receives from the control unit.

Tilt axis -45º to 87º

The inclination angle of -45º allows you to carry out missions where SATPRO V2 is located on a high point such as a mountain and the vehicle is below such as low flights, maritime navigation or terrestrial.

Protection against overstressing of the axes

Unlike other trackers, SATPRO V2 incorporates torque limiters to prevent damage in case of overstress of the axes.

With these protective measures, we can guarantee the safety of the users and durability of the product, which means that users can use it with peace of mind and confidence.

Flexibility and Adaptability to multiple types of antennas

Adaptability is key when it comes to finding the perfect solution for your needs, which is why the tracker antenna is designed with two standard 45x500mm aluminum profile side bars, which means you can make the most of the flexibility they offer.

These types of profiles provide you with a solid and versatile base that allows you to attach a wide range of antennas to the SATPRO.

Connectivity

Interfaces:

RCBUS: Communications between XLRS devices.

Ethernet: Communications for XVRE video receiver or any local device that needs to send video over Ethernet.

Communications between XLRS devices or to send Mavlink GPS telemetry data from a PC or similar.

USB: Mavlink telemetry or sending commands from PC, with adapter.

Internal and external battery

It incorporates a 4S/14.8V/4800mAh LiOn battery, which has a 5A fuse and a protection circuit to prevent over-consumption, low and high voltage, as well as charging current control.

Consumption is very low, which allows it to last approximately 8 to 10 hours of continuous use, only with the consumption of the tracking antenna.

In addition, the battery is interchangeable, which means that users can replace it if necessary.

For added convenience, we’ve also included the option to connect a battery or external power supply.
from 14.8V to 24V, allowing longer power life and greater flexibility in antenna use. Also, if both batteries are used at the same time, SATPRO will only consume of the battery with the highest voltage.

Thermal Control

SATPRO V2 has a thermal insulation and control system, when temperatures are cold or hot, the thermal control comes into action to keep the Tracker Antenna within an optimal temperature range.

Thermal control helps SATPRO V2 doesn’t overheat in hot weather or freeze in cold weather.

Resistance in Drizzle Conditions

SATPRO V2 incorporates a design that makes it resistant in light rain conditions.

Basically it is prepared in case it suddenly rains during a mission and it takes a while to protect it.

Control Display & Leds

It has a color display along with several integrated LEDs that provide you with real-time system information, showing essential data and allowing you to make informed decisions on the spot.

Vehicle GPS information: Latitude, Longitude, Distance, Height, Relative height of house, etc.

System and Motors Information: Time, Current Voltage, Target X and Y Degrees, X and Y Motor Steps, X and Y Degrees, etc.

And if an XLRS system is used, then some XLRS telemetry data can be displayed: RSSI RX, RSSI TX, Number of packets received, etc.

Alert system

It has an alert system that keeps you informed in case an emergency occurs in the SATPRO.

The speaker emits an alarmto notify you of certain important alerts, especially in critical conditions or unexpected situations, such as: Battery alert, Connection warnings, Emergency alarms, etc.

On the display, messages appear depending on the type of alarm.

Portability

Each SATPRO V2 is delivered with a robust suitcase with protective foam, you can take your SATPRO V2 anywhere safely, your equipment will be protected and ready for use in minutes.

Compatibility with XLRS Sytems

SATPRO V2 connects directly to a XLRS Ground Control Station or XLRS Remote Controllers for full mission control.

From the XLRS GCS you will be able to have control of the vehicle through the RC joysticks, you will also be able to view the camera or gimbal in real time through the monitor and from the PC you will be able to view the location of the vehicle at every moment of the mission using mapping software such as: Mission Planner, QGround Control, UGCs or similar.

Remote Controllers: XPAD1, XPAD2V3, XPAD3V2, etc.

Base Station: WMX481, the new, more powerful data link with RC and telemetry.

HD Video: XVHD-SAT Full HD long-range professional video up to 150Km.

Analog Video: XVID PAL video up to 100Km.

Use with other sytems

With a BTSD1 V3 you can use a standard RC transmitter for manual control or emergencies.

Can I use SATPRO V2 with my Data Link?

Yeah.

You can buy the SATPRO V2 loosely with the CURCB and CTRCB modules, to use any data link that works via serial TTL and your favorite antennas. You need to use the Mavlink protocol for the tracker.

Note: If you don’t use the Mavlink protocol (GPS Packets), you can also send GPS position data via Serial TTL or Ethernet to SATPRO V2.

Can I use SATPRO V2 with my GCS?

Of course.

You only need a USB interface and the CURCB and CTRCB modules. You must use Mavlink protocol. Mission Planner and QGround Control software are supported.
