New electronic hardware redesigned.
CPU with double the memory, new GPU to quickly move the color graphics, the Radiomodem (in the option with its own RF) has its own microcontroller downloading the RF tasks. We have added a new microcontroller dedicated to external communications and to the part of power, voltages, consumptions and supervision of the battery.
Updated Lion battery:
Now with almost half the weight, 33% more energy and longer duration than the previous Lipo battery. Now we will have 14.8V / 4800mA. The battery is protected against discharges and over consumption.
Central Color IPS 4.3″ display, touch screen and high brightness:
Larger and with more resolution than the previous one and with a dedicated GPU that gives an interface similar to a current smartphone.
Auxiliary displays IPS 1.5″ color:
Two larger and higher resolution displays to include clearer and more easily readable data.
Pushbuttons:
New hardware in the buttons much more modern and of higher quality, with internal LED lighting and a better fit on the face.
The 6 side buttons of the display have been eliminated to make have space for the larger display and as it is tactile they will no longer be necessary, because now we will have more interactivity and virtual buttons when necessary.
Backlit metal pushbuttons:
Two buttons for special functions that are easily differentiated from the others.
Switches:
The old ones were small and somewhat fragile, the new ones are the standard size for RC and much more robust.
Wifi:
New module that supports several simultaneous connections, including the Smart Base Station and the Smart Antenna Tracker.
This way there isn’t need to have cables between the antennas and the GCSD4V3.
Bluetooth:
Now available from the internal PC.
Radio Modem:
It can be included in the CGSD4V3R or in the SMBTS in the antenna. The RF module is totally new, the 6th generation now with various improvements in the RF part, it has its own microcontroller and is pluggable, so it is easily interchangeable.
PC:
We use the same PC as GCSD4 Version 2.
The cooling and interior mounting system is improved.
Aerosim simulator:
Now the GCSD4V3 is better prepared with the SPPM IN/OUT connection in a jack on the panel.
The display is raised when the PC starts up, this mechanism has been improved and is more robust.
Now when stop is pressed, the system automatically lowers the display before the power cut.
Connections between panels:
It has been considerably improved by adding a protective mesh and plastic to fix the wiring.
Start up:
The keyswitch is now a backlit metal push button. This has several advantages:
Previously when the key was unplugged, the entire GCSD4 was de-energized. This can be improved.
Now when it is pressed to start the GCSD4V3, the microcontroller of the power system takes the initiative and checks the status of the battery indicating how many hours remain of operation, then it starts up each subsystem sequentially, checking its correct consumption and in this way does a test to the system to verify that everything is correct before the flight.
To stop, it warns if a mission is halfway or the aircraft is in flight, stops the PC and then disconnects the systems sequentially so that no problem is created if it was recording a Log file or data in memory. You can always force stop by pressing continuously more than 10s.
External connections:
Now we have available abroad the PC’s ethernet, SPPM input and output, PC USB, Ethernet connector for the Smart Antenna or Tracker if you want to wire (normally it is wireless), battery connector and connector for the cells (charger by default).
With the new version you can use the supplied charger or if you want a standard charger.

10″ IPS full HD monitor:
The monitor is the same as in the previous version since its quality and brightness are exceptional.
It can connect to analog video or Digital video.
Instrument:
New completely with 1.5″ IPS color display and button with encoder for control.
The novelty is that before it was used to control the analog video receiver and now, in addition, it can function as an independent instrument, viewing any part of the system that you need.
Fan:
New anti-vibration hardware and control to reduce noise and increase effectiveness. Configurable
Connections:
HDMI digital video input.
RCA for AV audio Video analog.
