Why do I need a SATPRO?
What is it?
A tracker antenna automatically points to the vehicle, for example a UAV or drone.
As it has high gain directional antennas, it allows a greater range and always with the best quality of the radio link, like the SATPRO.
We are very proud to present this robust, powerful and versatile antenna tracker.
With removable aluminum profile arms to make any combination of antennas you need.
Continuous 360º rotation and multiple connectivity.
Protection against overstressing of the axes.
I have a professional UAV and a good base station or GSC:
There is no point in risking the UAV with mediocre solutions!!
Using a loose tripod with a patch antenna and moving it manually, especially if the UAV is far away, aiming well and getting the best signal is not easy, can cause link losses in manual centering and can distract attention.
I’ll fly or sail away:
At long distances, for example from 25Km, it is advisable to use a tracker antenna, from 50Km it is very necessary and at 100 or 150Km I would say it is essential.
When the vehicle is far away, you have to take into account some details such as the fresnel zone and the curvature of the earth.
As a reference for 100Km, you must fly at least 250-300m or if this is not possible or you are going to navigate, the base station should be at this approximate height above sea level.
I am going to use a fixed installation:
Then logically you need a SATPRO.
In this case it must be protected from the cold outside, rain, etc. with a dome for example.
How to get the maximum range of the Data_Link:
If you have a SATPRO you can install relatively large antennas such as a 24dBi satellite dish at 2.4Ghz or high gain 868-950Mhz yagi antennas that are large and can no longer be pointed manually.
To avoid interruptions in the radio link due to manual pointing, a SATPRO is necessary.
Can I use SATPRO with my Data Link?
Yeah. You can buy the SATPRO loosely with the CURCB and CTRCB modules, to use any data link and your favorite antennas. You need to use the Mavlink protocol for the tracker.
Can I use SATPRO with my GCS?
Of course. You only need a USB interface and the CURCB and CTRCB modules. You must use Mavlink protocol. Mission Planner and QGround Control software are supported.
What components do I need to complete a system with the SATPRO?
- A UAV, UGV or USV equipped with an RC or Data Link receiver, autopilot, camera, antennas, etc.
At the base:
- A GCS or Ground Control Station, such as GCSD5, GCSD5-DUAL or your GCS.
If you use GCSD4 or GCSD5, the WMX481 Data Link together with the RXLRS receiver will provide you with up to 250Km of range.
- You can also use only an XLRS Data Link on the ground such as BTSD1 V3 or DL1 V2 or use your own Data Link with Mavlink protocol and a PC.
With a BTSD1 V3 you can use a standard RC transmitter for manual control or emergencies.
- You must decide whether to use long-range Full HD Video or much cheaper analog Video.

What can you tell me about the battery?
The tracker only consumes little and the life of the 4S/14.8V/4800mA LiOn battery is 8 to 10 hours.
If peripherals such as the video receiver or data link are added, the duration will decrease in proportion to the consumption of these peripherals.
The battery is on the outside and can be changed easily. Additionally, the tracker can be powered with another external battery or a power supply simultaneously.
Accessories and cables are supplied for immediate exterior connection. It is protected against voltage inversion.
SATPRO, Is it portable?
Each SATPRO is delivered with a robust suitcase with protective foam, you can take your SATPRO anywhere safely, your equipment will be protected and ready to use in minutes.
As you will see, in the suitcase you have the necessary cables and accessories included.
What tripod uses SATPRO?
The tripod can be purchased separately or use your own if it is robust enough.
It is supplied with accessories for fixing it to the ground, steel slings and stakes.
A sturdy, padded carrying bag completes the product.
